Big city and rainbows

We are staying on the southern tip of Ireland so there are a lot of small little towns around but to get to a bigger city it takes about an hour and a half-ish.  So we've spent most of our time exploring these small little towns, which is sometimes great and sometimes the whole town is closed until March!  So needless to say we were so excited to see a bigger city (Cork) finally because we knew it would be open and have lots to see.  It has been amazing how used to small town life we have become! There's usually one place to go (town centre) and one or two streets to explore and maybe a beach.  Little things like parking become an issue for us in the bigger city.  Thankfully our motorhome isn't very big and we can fit in a parking spot but we are finding that most parkades have bars across the entrance to prevent larger vehicles from entering, meaning we have no where to park.
Anyways, once we found a parking spot we all loved exploring Cork.  There were huge ships in the harbour and lots of shopping and coffee shops and great walks by the water.  A little something for us all.  We even found a craft store that sells Fimo (remember Fimo!) so Ella can try to recreate a Fimo fruit stand she saw that wasn't for sale.  
It's hard to believe we have 2 more sleeps here and then we move on again.  We're all starting to really miss home but Ella today said that she feels like the trip is going by too fast.  So that must be a good sign!




My favourite parts of all these towns are the colourful doors and buildings.

    I love that in your family picture the kids look warm with no coats on, and you & Luke are so bundled up and look cold! :) they must be enjoying the space to run. Great pictures, glad you've enjoyed Ireland despite the rain.

    Thank you for doing all the hard work of travelling and documenting it! I am enjoying living vicariously through your travels- hugs to everybody, I can't believe how fast Josie is growing up!

    You guys are pretty much gonna wonder where all the castles are when you get home... cuz they'll just be no big deal anymore. Lol. And that baby! What a little dolly. So cute.
