Bicycles and Castles

Wales, despite all the rain, is slowly wooing us all.  We are loving all the castles and the exploring we get to do here.  We found this amazing bike trail here called the Mawddach Trail that takes you right to the ocean if you stayed on it.  And we also went to this little beach called Shell Island which was full of all sorts of treasures for us to find.  We even found a rugby ball that has ignited a rugby flame in Isaac.  (And what a great country to discover rugby in!  Every other channel on TV has  a rugby match of some version!)

Criccieth Castle

Dungeon!

"falling" off the edge

There were these massive waves that would hit the pier.

Shell Island  (Harlech castle in the background)

Josie was not interested in sitting in the chariot!

Tuckered out from all the shell hunting

Harlech Castle

Hi Umo!  I want to be a rugby player too!

I think Josie loved Harlech Castle the most

The kids running the walls that were 50 feet high.  Be thankful you can't
hear me yelling "STAY ON THE INSIDE OF THE PATH!"

Bike riding the Mawddach Trail.

Had to invent a way to make our bike ride last longer than 2 minutes ("mom my legs hurt ... so .... bad....")
His handles were my pockets

Make a silly/mad face guys!

Doing tricks with Josie ala Seutter style

SO thankful for the chariot!  (thanks Squires!)

This is our little private river that runs beside our house.  This is us cooling off
after a big ride!)

As you can tell by her face, Josie's other highlight is the amount of Land Rovers we see.  ;)

  4. So glad the frequent rain isn't spoiling your adventures. The ocean pics show some blue sky so that's great. Good thing I wasn't with you at Harlech Castle...whew! The walls were so high! Love the pics of Josie either asleep or her hoodie over her eyes. So cute. Ella could be on a modelling job - she's such a natural in her poses. Beautiful.
