Ljubliana (pronounced lu-blee-yan-na)

We finally got some city time in!  This place is an outdoor wonderland that we haven't felt the need to see a city yet.  But the capital of Slovenia sounded so interesting that we took a day on Saturday to go to the outdoor market and wander the cobblestone streets.  The weather has been so funny here too.  Every day says rain rain rain!  And it is often overcast, maybe spits a little, then the sun starts shining.  So if this is their rainy season, bring it on!

On our way we saw a farmer doing things the traditional way (what he is doing I have no idea .  Luke did.  And was impressed.  As far as I could tell the horse was pulling something that was doing something to the dirt!)

They have these shoes hanging everywhere.  I found out later that University students throw their shoes over the wires on the last day of classes.

And their street lights are little umbrellas
The kids then found a toy shop so Josie got a photo shoot showing off her pretty outfit!

I read a blog the night before about Ljubliana and the author talked about this guy who sets up this puzzle booth and just, for free, lets you play these toys.  I'm not sure how he makes money.  He never asked for money and told us it was completely free.  I was sure there was a catch.  The best part was out of the 3 kids and Luke, guess who figured out the puzzle first?  (I'll give you a hint ... she's the one in blue!)

Now we are packing up and heading off to Italy for the next 5 weeks.  It's crazy to think that Italy is our last country then we start the trek home.  But Italy is so full of anticipation for us all.  We are meeting up with some friends, Nana and Papa join us, the food is amazing, the coffee is unreal.  We can't wait!
